The weather has become officially miserable here in the Wild West. Temps in the 110's! We have been spending a lot of time in our mini pool which we moved from our back patio to our garage so we are away from the sun and desert wind. With a few tricks, like starting the car a/c 5 minutes before we leave the house, I am able to take Emma to babytime at the library a couple of times a week. Last week I was sick so James took her, being the amazing Daddy that he is. It has been busy around here with Father's Day, James's birthday, our 4 year wedding anniversary, and Mom Z's birthday. Grandma and Grandpa Z were kind enough to babysit Emma so that we could go on an anniversary date. We drank, I mean ate, lunch and saw the movie "42". Here are some pictures from James's birthday. We went to a covered community pool for a few hours. It is a great pool because 1) It's completely shaded. 2) It has lots of spraying fountains and contraptions. 3) You walk into the water on a slant, like the ocean. The shallow end is shallow enough that Emma can just sit in the water.
Here are some pictures from the splash pad at the zoo.
