Tricia's Bridal Shower

Here is a picture from Tricia's Bridal Shower.  Her wonderful friend Laura, on the left, helped me put it together.  Great food +Great friends+Great Decor+ Fun Games+Gifts=Success!!!
Friends dressed in toilet paper wedding dresses is always a good time.  We had yummy punch, Mama Llama empanadas, quiche, & heaps of "puppy chow" (a favorite snack of  Tricia's which is Chex mix covered in chocolate & powdered sugar).
Other than the seriously malfunctioning chocolate fountain, everything was fabulous.

Chilly December Days

In December we had some freezing temperature mornings & nights.  We got to break in our fireplace.  Cali loves warm things, so she was in front of the fire within moments of us lighting it.

This looks much better in real life, but here is a picture of it anyway.  It is the golf course that surrounds our apartments.  On really cold mornings all the grass freezes.  I took this one morning on the way to work. Below are a couple shots from the entrance to our apartments.

Bobcat Sighting

James spotted a bobcat at his work.
Here it is strolling leisurely through the grounds.

November

Another month has flown by.  We got in a couple days of hiking, got the good news that we have two nieces on the way, and had a lovely and very relaxing Thanksgiving.

We included some pictures of our outdoor adventures below.  Early in the month we hiked around Sabino Canyon, and last weekend we hiked Mt. Lemmon.  Sabino Canyon is a short 10 minute drive from where we live.  Mt. Lemmon is 30 minutes to the base, and the further up you go the less and less desert landscape you see.  After driving up 10 minutes or so the cactus start to be replaced by big trees.  It was James first time, and it was a relief to him to be out of the desert landscape for a little while. :)

This month is going to be very busy.  In a week and a half (or so they say) I have to move my classroom into a modular building.  In two weeks it is Tricia and Michael's wedding, then we are off to Disneyland and Santa Barbara!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
